Alma Director arrived in New Zealand in February 2002, as a 2-year old colt, from Alma Vista Stud, Australia.

Hanna Imperial is the first of our homebred stallions that will be used as a breeding sire by our stud. He will be available for breeding services from 2011.

Dominante XXIX (qualified PRE stallion imp. Spain)(frozen semen)


We have just received the all-clear for the importation of frozen semen by the US based qualified stallion Dominante XXIX. We expect the semen to arrive later in December 2012. 

Dominante was bred by Yeguada Villa Mazzara in the North of Spain, passed qualification under  FESCCR management, and is owned by Richard and Linda Nickerson of Snowy Peaks Ranch, Utah, USA.

Dominante carries mainly lines of LJ Escalera, but also includes the Maria Fernanda Escalera bred stallion Ganador VIII, and Military lines via Agente and Lebrijano III.

He has been Absolute Breed Champion at the National Celebration Show in the USA in 2005 and 2009 and is now successfully compaigned in dressage. Some of his successes include:

2011 United States Dressage Federation (USDF) Horse of the Year Rankings ( this is the year end rankings for all dressage horses of all breeds competing throughout the entire USA)
 
FEI Prix St Georges: ranked 114th with a mean score 65.658%
 
FEI Intermediare 1: ranked 69th with a mean score 65.987
 
FEI Intermediare 1 Freestyle: ranked 10th with a mean score 72.062%
 
FEI Intermediare1 Freestyle Challenge: ranked 15th with a mean score 68.417% (combines Intermediare 1 and Intermediare 1 Free Style scores)
